Turn your iRacing races into a racing career.

Grid to Podium is a career mode for iRacing. Sign with teams, race full seasons, earn prize money and work your way from a Rookie licence to Platinum. Each season exports to iRacing as an AI season and roster, and every result you bring back counts.

What a career looks like

Teams come to you

Your manager forwards team invitations to your inbox. Accept one to sign a season-long contract, with your salary paid when the season ends.

Once your reputation is high enough you can ask a team for an offer yourself. At Gold and Platinum, teams from other regions start calling too, and moving costs money.

The inbox open on a team invitation email, with buttons to accept or decline the offer.

A whole racing world, running at once

All 42 series run their own seasons with AI drivers, on calendars from March to November. While you head to your next race, the rest of the world races too.

Points follow each series' own table, and results uploaded from iRacing use the championship points iRacing awarded. You can race more than one series at a time.

Race it in iRacing

Export for iRacing turns your season into a .zip with an AI season and roster. Choose the AI's skill, racing style, cleanliness, weather and race length, then load it into iRacing's AI Racing.

Afterwards, upload iRacing's results file and your finishing position, grid, incidents and fastest lap feed straight into the championship.

Money, licences and a reason to stay clean

Every race pays prize money, and the top ten in a championship earn a bonus. Incidents above a free allowance cost you in repairs. Buy the next car from the dealer when you can afford it.

Your safety rating moves with your incidents. Rack up races, keep it clean and finish high in a championship to step up from Rookie to Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

How it works

From a new career to a result in the standings.

  1. Start a career

Enter your iRacing display name and date of birth, then choose how much experience and money you start with, from Rookie with $25,000 to Gentleman Driver with $2,000,000. Pick a home region, a discipline (road, oval or formula) and the tracks you own.

  2. Sign with a team

Team invitations land in your inbox. Accept one and you have a seat, a car and a season-long contract.

  3. Continue to race day

Continue moves the calendar to your next race. Every other series races on the way, and their results appear on the World screen.

  4. Export the season for iRacing

Export for iRacing builds a .zip with an AI season and roster for your series. Copy the folders into your iRacing documents folder and the season appears under AI Racing.

  5. Race it

Run the race in iRacing against the exported field.

  6. Record the result

Upload iRacing's results file, type the result in or simulate the race. Standings, prize money, repair costs, safety rating and experience update straight away.

Who we are

Grid to Podium is built by a small team of software engineers in India. We've spent more than ten years building software for a living, from mobile apps to AI systems.

This app gets the same care as that work. It's our gift to the sim racing community, and we're here to keep maintaining and improving it, not to move on after a few weeks.

  • Built by people who ship software

The same engineering we do every day: reviewed changes, automated tests and careful releases.

  • Maintained for the long run

Fixes and new features keep coming. Report a bug from inside the app and we read it.

  • Made for sim racers

Free to use, independent and built around how you actually race in iRacing.

Questions

Do I need an iRacing subscription?

To race your seasons, yes. Grid to Podium runs the career; the racing happens in iRacing, so you need an active iRacing subscription and the cars and tracks you want to race. When you start a career you can pick the tracks you own, so your calendars only use those. You can also enter or simulate a result, which is handy for a race you missed.
